About Us MISSION STATEMENT The Mebane Acting Company, Inc., is a community theatrical company designed to bring the cultural arts to Mebane and its surrounding communities. The Company provides performance and educational opportunities for community members; supports the talents and abilities of those interested in theatre and the cultural arts; presents quality entertainment, competition, and community productions; and seeks to encourage involvement and appreciation of the arts to all members of the public. HISTORY The Mebane Acting Company, Inc., was incorporated in June of 2005, by Thomas and Alexis Drago of Mebane. Having a love of the arts, and especially theatre, the couple, at the suggestion of numerous Mebanites, decided to offer local performing arts opportunities to the community. The first Board of Directors was installed and laid the necessary groundwork for a project with many high goals. The community responded and offered their talents to support this endeavor. As smaller goals are met, higher goals are each year becoming closer to reach. Now in its third season, the Company continues to seek out performing arts lovers and assist them in the utilization of their gifts and talents. The Company thanks the many members of the community who have already been involved in productions, either on stage, backstage, or in the audience.
