A Little Bit About What to Expect
When you arrive at auditions, you will be asked to complete an audition sheet if you have not already done so. Feel free to attach a resume and/or head shot.
If you do not provide a photo, we will take a quick snapshot of you.
When auditioning for a play, we usually ask that you come ready to do a reading of a monologue that we provide. Each director does it a little differently, so check back on this page to get specific information for each show’s auditions. When auditioning for a musical, we ask that you come with 16 prepared bars of music. We provide the accompanist, but don’t forget your sheet music (the accompanists won’t know what to do without it). If you come without a song, we will ask you to sing a common ditty (such as “Happy Birthday to You”). Dance auditions are usually done in small groups and are held while vocal auditions are happening. Cold readings are usually the last part of this process.
We try to move everyone along as quickly as possible, but the time depends on how many people are auditioning and how much the director needs to see/hear. While waiting, we ask that you are polite to those you meet and quiet while others are performing. Feel free to bring something quiet to do while you wait.
Cast lists are posted on this website, and are available within 48 hours of the last audition date. You will be asked to accept/decline your role online.
