This show is a whirlwind comedy that takes all of Shakespeare’s 37 plays and condenses them into a performance of roughly an hour-and-a-half. Three actors take the text of beloved author William Shakespeare, combine it with pop culture and physical comedy, and spew out Shakespeare like you’ve never seen him before. If you love Shakespeare, you’ll love this show. If you don’t love Shakespeare, you’ll love this show.
The show was first performed by The Reduced Shakespeare Company at the 1987 Edinburgh Festival Fringe and sped to success with premieres in London and New York. The show has toured worldwide and is the longest running comedy in London’s Criterion Theatre. The show was made available to those unable to make a live performance when it ran on PBS in 2001.
Produced by special arrangement with Broadway Play Publishing, New York, NY.
